The 3-day desert trip from Fes to Marrakech through the sand dunes of Erg chebbi is ideal for those who land in Fez and return from Marrakech or vice versa. In addition to visiting the two most tourist cities in the country, you will visit the impressive Merzouga desert; camel ride and the world heritage Kasbah in Ouarzazate, as well as the great canyons of Todra and Dades gorges and the breath-taking landscapes through the high Atlas Mountains.
Today, early in the morning, you will travel through the Middle Atlas through Ifran "Switzerland of Morocco" and Azrou. You will have a stop in the cedar forest for a visit to the Cider Gouraud tree where you can see the Barbary monkeys. From here you head south through several villages and you will have the opportunity to see nomads living in tents on the side of the road. You can also see the volcanic rocks. Your next stop is in Midelt where you can enjoy your lunch. Later, continuing with your way, crossing the pass of Tizi N'Talghomt (1907m), while enjoying the panoramic views.
It also crosses the Ziz Gorge and the tunnel. Near Errachidia, you can see the dam of Hassan Al-Dakhil that has turquoise blue water. Continue your way towards Erfoud, you will have a stop for a panoramic view of the palm of Aoufous located along the Ziz river. After enjoying breakfast, you will return on the back of the camel to your hotel where you can have hot shower and prepare for the new day of the tour. You will depart for Rissani, you will have a visit to the local market with the opportunity to see the fondouks where the donkeys meet, continuing your journey towards Tineghir passing through Erfoud "the capital of marble fossils you will see the Khatarat irrigation canal system in your way. Your next stop is in Tineghir where you will be invited by a local family for a home hosted lunch. Later, you will continue along the path along the river to reach the gorges where you will make a walking tour through this wonderful place, while enjoying the views of high rock walls (up to 300 meters).
